I have very little experience with painting red, and I used this for a Skulltaker I painted up for my son's friend. I used a different basing style, but I couldn't have finished my Skulltakere in time without this well organized article.

Other than using light grey primer, and substituting other color shades when I didn't have what you used, I followed this pretty close. My FLGS doesn't carry Brazen Brass, of all colors, so I mixed Tin Bitz and Shining Gold. Also, I combined Steps 13, 19 and 21. With my fat brushed washing technique I would have been painting over wash then applying again otherwise.

Anyway, wanted to let you know your tutorials are appreciated, and that at least one person's used it.the other Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03109487639989936564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5157181917211253174.post-51305610638246479642009-10-14T13:07:36.500-07:002009-10-14T13:07:36.500-07:00@Anon: LOL

I see no reason for them to change over time...
Then the other part of me (the skeptic) argues "well, what about the Soulgrinder? If the daemons are so eternal and unchanging, why did he need to upgrade some guns?" You got me there. I would have been happy with the army being absolutely the same (without the grinder), but the other part of me feels that we're somehow missing out on the much more awesome possibility that we could have had with some 40k-ized daemons (like the Soulgrinder, and the Forgeworld Nurgle Herald/Daemon Prince, Plague Drone, etc.)MasterDarksolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15812633227566402070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5157181917211253174.post-90388762972548744282009-10-14T12:05:32.682-07:002009-10-14T12:05:32.682-07:00Great cock! Bad Moon Yellow was a very bright almost neon yellow. I guess a good substitute would be a 1:1 mix of Sunburst Yellow and Skull White ... just to get a very bright yellow in there.

I have been pondering doing some YouTube shorts centered around painting models.
